Edmont de Fortemps
Father Figure

Edmont, the very man who ensured the safety of a seven year-old Leodaire, had always cared about the young Lestrade like a father. Leodaire's return to Ishgard marked the beginning of a deeper relationship between the two men, especially after Leodaire accidentally called Edmont "father" in worry after the riots in Ishgard begun.

Minfilia Warde (Deceased*)
Siblinghood

One out of the very few people Leodaire immediately hit it off with among the Scions. Minfilia quickly became a sister-like figure that he cared about greatly. All along he carries the guilt of having been the last one with her before she was taken to be the Word of the Mother, secretly always blaming himself for not being able to do more to keep her safe.

Haurchefant Greystone (Deceased) & Artoirel de Fortemps
Brothers

Haurchefant and Artoirel had been a part of Leodaire's life since he was born, and had become brothers to the Lestrade's only son. They both taught Leodaire a lot of valuable lessons the younger elezen carries with him until today, and Haurchefant's death was a pivotal point in Leodaire's path of revenge and self-discovery. Artoirel had been the first, and most steady, rock Leodaire leaned on in the aftermath.

Y'shtola Rhul
Girlfriend

Y'shtola was the first Scion Leodaire met, having been recruited into the group by her. They immediately hit it off, their opposite personalities seeming to magnetize the other. While she likes to tease him, he trusts her with more than his life and so does she. While Leodaire didn't make an effort to hide away his eventual feelings, Y'shtola had been a little more hesitant to respond to them, considering the constant danger they both faced. Only the horror of seeing his shattered aether had woken her up to the realization that her fear of losing him was stronger than anything else, and had given in to letting herself return his feelings.

Krile Baldesion
Confidant / Best Friend

While Krile initially took enjoyment in helping Leodaire with his insistent involvement in aetherical studies (which she suspected had something to do with her fellow archon), the two immediately formed a bond over shared stories and cups of tea. This only strengthened over time when Leodaire, on his visits to countless places from Kugane to Yanxia to the Azim Steppe, would constantly bugger Krile in the strangest of times simply to ask about Y'shtola, to which she doesn't spare the opportunity to tease him about upon his return.

Alisaie Leveilleur
Confidant / Best Friend

After brief exchanges that led to working together to uncover the true secret of the Coils of Bahamut, the two seemed to be destined to stand side by side, and in doing so formed a bond far stronger than Leodaire has with anybody else, even Alphinaud. The two have found themselves leaning on each other a lot of times, and Leodaire immediately felt a very strong familial pull towards the younger elezen. He speaks proudly of her, like a father would, and would oftentimes be teased about it by Thancred and Y'shtola.

Estinien Varlineau
Close Friends / Brother-in-Arms

With much respect for each other, it didn't take much for the two elezens to hit it off. While Estinien mostly pretends to be aloof, he shows his concern for Leodaire in his own ways, checking in on him often in concern since the events of the Dragonsong War came to pass.

Gosetsu Daito
Mentor

After heeding warnings from Krile and Y'shtola and thus deciding to lay down the lance of the Azure Dragoon once more, Leodaire found himself dabbling in all sorts of battle arts, until he fell in love with the katana. Meeting Gosetsu shortly after only fueled his passion for the style of battle, and he learned all he can from the Roegadyn. After the older man decided to go on a pilgrimage as a monk, he left his katana to Leodaire, one that he's hung up in safety in his home as testament to his tutelage under the great Doman samurai.

Venat
Mentor / Mother Figure

Though their time, their true time together, had been short, Hydaelyn and much later on, Venat, had become someone Leodaire found himself admiring and believing in. She had been the guiding hand that brought him to where he is, and meeting her on Elpis just showed exactly why. Their personalities are very similar, and their love for the star mirrors too closely for it to be coincidence. As his predecessor to the seat of Azem, Venat had always been his mentor, teaching him the ways of the world, often indulging him his curiosities and even his impulsiveness, and had always cared greatly about his wellbeing.

Minfilia Warde
Childhood Friend/First love

Zahl and Minfilia had known each other since they were both kids, the former taking a protective stance after the discovery of what had happened to her father. He had always adored Ascilia since then, and it had only grown over time, but not enough for him to stay when she was charged with Louisoix's duty. Losing her was what had changed that, and changed his life forever. She hadn't only done that, but had also changed him, for better or for worse depends on who you ask.

Thancred Waters / F'Lhaminn Qesh
Family

Thancred had pretty much adopted both Zahl and Ascilia since they were younger, and though Zahl would never admit it, he looks up to the older man. On the other hand, his relationship with his adoptive mother was complicated. Though Lhaminn had never formally adopted him, he loved her like his own mother, but the fact's of the events that led to Warburton's death had created a temporary rift between the two miqo'tes.

Leodaire Lestrade
Brother figure

While he originally hated the Warrior of Light, blaming him for Minfilia's demise, he had come to understand the man's motivations and even more as time had passed. His respect for the younger elezen had strengthened, and Zahl would always willingly lend him his aid whenever he needed it.

Krile Baldesion
Close Friends

Though most of the Scions dislike Zahl for his attitude, Krile had been the only one who had tried to reach out and understand him. Being one of Minfilia's closest friends meant that she had a lot of stories to tell, and through that she had formed a real friendship with him that had created a sense of trust between the two.
